Who can apply for the international student scholarship?

International Student Scholarship (Bachelor)

Successful international students will receive the following:

Successful international students will receive the following:

• Tuition fee waiver 
  
• Postgraduate House fee waiver 
  
• Monthly stipend 
  
• 
  Assistantship

(1) After the first year of study, students who meet GPA3.0 or above shall receive a continuation of the scholarship.

(2) Students will be assigned to a shared bedroom in Postgraduate House and need to serve in Faculty / Global Affairs Office for 5 hours/week. The serving hours may be exempted by taking into account the study workload of the student.

(3) Monthly stipend are available through the student trainee programme. Student trainee positions are subject to availability. Global Affairs Office will try to endeavor a placement for international students who are in need.

(4) Assistantship is available by faculty.

Continuation of  Scholarship

Students who meet the academic requirement of GPA3.3 for Bachelor students and GPA3.0 for Master students after the first year of study of UM are eligible to continue receiving the scholarship.

Other  Scholarships

• Admitted students may also be eligible for other types of UM scholarships. These scholarships are provided by individual or entrepreneurial donors, which are awarded according to students’ academic performance.

• Macau Foundation offers “Belt and Road Scholarship” for bachelor students.
