President Scholarship for International Students Program 2018

Program Introduction
Students are required to complete the curriculum between 4 to 8 years and fulfill the designated number of credits. Successful graduates will receive a graduation certificate along with the bachelor’s degree, according to the regulation of the Degree Committee.

Application Prerequisites
1.  Applicants must be non-Chinese citizens with a valid passport, a senior high school diploma and above the age of 18 and under the age of 25.

2. The International Students are required to take the Chinese language proficiency exam after registration. Only those students whose results meet the standard are allowed to take specialty courses, otherwise they are advised to study Chinese or English Language in the College of Humanities for one or two semesters. For those who have already received a certificate of the new HSK (Hanyu shuiping kaoshi) of level 3 and above(those who apply for the majors of humanities or economics and business should have the HSK4 certificate.), the Chinese language proficiency exam will be exempted.
 
Application Process
1. Fill the Application Form
Please fill in and submit the application form together with the scanned copy of the required documents.

Application Materials.
2.1. After completing the Application Form of YIT for International Students, please print and attach a 2- inch passport-style photo.

2.2. After completing the President Scholarship Application Form of YIT for International Students, please print and attach a 2- inch passport-style photo.
2.3. Senior high school graduation diploma (Students expecting to graduate should provide an official letter stating expected graduation date, and submit the graduation diploma if admitted), which should be the scanned copy of the original documents or notarized copies in Chinese or English.
2.4. Official transcripts of your academic achievement up to the present, including courses taken and standard achieved (the scanned copy of the original documents or certified copies in Chinese or English).
2.5. A scanned copy of your HSK certificate.

2.6. The scanned copy of your valid passport (must be a valid ordinary passport).

2.7. A study or research plan. (All applicants are required to submit a study or research plan. It must be in Chinese or in English and no less than 1000 words.)

2.8. Physical Examination Record for the foreigner.

2.9. No Criminal record.

3.0. Other supporting documents (e.g., awards & certificates).
3.1. Additional materials may be requested from Yancheng Institute Of Technology.
Note: Your application documents will not be returned.
 
Application Period
Before June 31, you can come to the campus and submit the required documents, and the application documents also can be sent by mail.

 
Admission Interview
Successful applicants are required to participate in an admission interview conducted by Department of International Exchange and Cooperation in June. Overseas applicants could request a web-cam interview.

 
Bachelor Programs (5 year undergraduate course)
First year: Chinese language program

The second to fifth year: Degree programs (supporting any major or specialty taught in Chinese)

Admission
Admission will be determined according to your application documents and the interview. The admission result will be issued online after the interview. The "Admission Letter " and the attached documents will be sent at the end of June. The applicants should submit all the required original documents, and the university will recheck the documents and reserve the rights to cancel the admission.

International Students Scholarship
Yancheng Institute of Technology offers a full/partial scholarship (covering tuition fees) for outstanding students. The scholarship will be offered for five years on condition that you complete the required credits in succession. Students may apply for the scholarship and the school at the same time, Result of the scholarship and the admission will be announced together. 

For Undergraduates

Notes:

(1) International Applicants can only apply for Jasmine Jiangsu Government Scholarship or President Scholarship of Yancheng Institute of Technology.

(2) Beneficiaries of the scholarship should pass 60 in every examination and should maintain good-behavior record.
