1. Doctor of Philosophy Programmes

1) Application requirements:

a) Master degree;

b) Certificate of HSK-5 or higher rank;

c) Entrance Examination of GZMU

d) Applicants without HSK-5 need to study Chinese at School of International Education till they pass HSK-5. Students who study doctor degree must pass HSK-6 during the study period.

e) Meeting the requirements of the physical examination

f) Required to have a certain economic conditions, except Chinese Government scholarship

g) Recommended by two associate professors or above

2)Fields of research:

a)Doctor of Philosophy (Social work in minority regions)

b) Doctor of Philosophy (Public policies in minority regions)

c) Doctor of Philosophy (Social management and rule of law in minority regions)

2. Masters Degree Programmes

1) Entry requirement:

a) bachelor’s degree;

b) the certificate of HSK-5 or higher rank;

c) pass the entrance examination of GMU

d) Applicants without HSK-5 need to study Chinese at School of International Education till they pass HSK-5. Students who study doctor degree must pass HSK-6 during the study period.

e) Meeting the requirements of the physical examination

f) Required to have a certain economic conditions, except Chinese Government scholarship

b) Sociology: sociology, demography, anthropology, folkore, media sociology, tourism anthropology

c) Ethnology: ethnology, ethnic theory and policy of Maxim, Chinese ethnic economics, Chinese ethnic history, Chinese ethnic arts, ethnic medicine, administrative management in ethnic area, Science of ethnic traditional sports, ethnoecology, minority architecture, ethnic communication, intercultural communication and translation.

d) Chinese language and literature: theory of literature and art, linguistics and applied linguistics, Chinese philology, Chinese classical philology, ancient Chinese literature, modern and contemporary Chinese literature, Chinese ethnic language and literature, comparative literature and world literature,

e) Mathematics: basic mathematics, computational mathematics, probability and mathematical statistics, operation science and control theory, computational Physics, Complex information analysis and calculation

The applicant who does not succeed in HSK-5 is permitted to study Chinese at School of International Education and be the candidate of master after passing HSK-5 test.
