ABOUT US
Hunan University of Arts and Science was established in 1958. It is located
in the northwest of Changde, Hunan Province. Known as The World’s Garden City
and China’s Charming City, Changde enjoys its tranquil natural environment and
rich cultural atmosphere.
Hunan University of Arts and Science is a multi-disciplinary full-time
undergraduate university. Covering an area of 1791 mu (construction area 45000
㎡), Hunan University of Arts and Science has a high level team of faculty and
staff including 820 full-time faculty and professional researchers, including
115 professors and 396 associate professors, of whom 117 have received doctoral
degrees.
Hunan University of Arts and Science has 17 schools, 2 teaching departments
and 1 independent college -- Furong College. The university now has 47
undergraduate majors, covering 10 disciplines, namely, literature, science,
engineering, agriculture, history, law, economy, management, education, and
art.
The university now has a total enrolment of over 23,000 full-time
undergraduates on campus. Since 2004, the university has been approved to enroll
international students by the Ministry of Education.
Hunan University of Arts and Science is active in internationalization. It
has established academic exchange relations with over 20 institutions in the
world. It sends teachers abroad, employs international teachers, receives
international visitors and lecturers, hosts international academic conferences,
operates joint education programs, and conducts international research
collaboration.
Hunan University of Arts and Science is opening up to the world and looking
forward to establishing a long-term, friendly and extensive academic exchanges
and cooperation with universities in the world.
