I、Introduction to UESTC University Scholarship -“The Belt and Road” Initiative Scholarship
Only available for graduate applicants.
1. First class scholarship (Full scholarship): including tuition, on-campus dormitory, medical insurance, and living allowance (1500 RMB/month); (available for master & PhD applicants)
2. Second class scholarship (Partial scholarship): including tuition, on-campus dormitory, and medical insurance; (only available for PhD applicants)
3. Third class scholarship (Partial scholarship): including tuition and medical insurance; (only available formaster applicants)
II、Applicants
This scholarship is only for outstanding student who is coming for graduate degree study(Master & PhD degree programs) in UESTC. Scholarship students should complete their study within the set time; duration for scholarship specified in the Admission Notice cannot be extended in principle. (2 years for master and 3 years for PhD)
III、Criteria & Eligibility
1. Applicants must be non-Chinese citizens and be in line with the qualifications of UESTC admissions;
2. Applicants should be healthy physically and mentally, can well adapt to the life and study in UESTC;
3. Applicants should abide by Chinese laws and regulations, and comply with UESTC regulations;
4. Applicants should be with positive learning attitude and good performance;
5. Applicants shall not win any other scholarship in the meantime;
6. Winners of the scholarship should be decided in the process of new student recruiting. Registered on campus students cannot apply for it. Any substitution or replacement of scholarship will not be accepted.
7. The applicant is obliged to truthfully fill out and submit application materials required by UESTC.

I、Introduction
In March 2014, Chengdu Municipal People’s Government officially set up the “Government Scholarship for International Students from International Sister Cities of Chengdu City” (hereinafter referred to as the “Scholarship”) in order to further the exchange and cooperation between Chengdu City and its international Sister Cities and enhance mutual understanding and friendship.
The Scholarship is provided by Chengdu Municipal People’s Government to support the study and living of international students from international Sister Cities who receive degree/diploma education or non-degree programs for more than three months in Chengdu.
II、Scholarship Types
Degree Student Scholarship (Bachelor, Master and PhD Degree)
1. Doctoral students, including tuition, on-campus dormitory, medical insurance, with the period of no more than 3 years
2. Master students, including tuition, on-campus dormitory, medical insurance, with the period of no more than 3 years
3. Undergraduates, including tuition, on-campus dormitory, medical insurance, with the period of no more than 4 years
III、Eligible Applicants
1. Applicants should be citizens from the Sister Cities (Born in, study, work or live in the Sister Cities of Chengdu City’s and hold the confirmation letters issued by related government departments of Sister Cities) with foreign nationalities, friendly to China and in good shape;
2. Applicants should abide by the laws and regulations of the Chinese government, have good performance, meeting the admission requirements of UESTC;
3. Applicants should have the right attitude to study, without breaking school rules and disciplines and having good academic performance;
4. International students who have been awarded other scholarship are not allowed to apply for the Scholarship.
IV、Application Date and Procedure
1.After arrivals of UESTC, eligible applicants should submit the required documents to the School of International Education.
2.The first round evaluation will be conducted by the Scholarship Committee of UESTC.
3.The documents of qualified applicants will be sent to the Chengdu Municipal People’s Government for the final appraisal and approval.
4.Namelist of the Scholarship winners will be posted on the university website, lasting 5 working days. If you have any disagreement or opinion, please contact the School of International Education within these 5 working days.
Article 1 Purpose and Principles of CWAS Scholarship for UESTC Students
To encourage and attract more outstanding students from West African countries to come for degree study, University of Electronic Science & Technology of China (hereinafter referred to as UESTC) sets up CWAS (Center for West African Studies) Scholarship for UESTC Students. The award is set up to reward new students with potential in future academic research. Applicants shall not win any other scholarship in the meantime. (Including UESTC scholarship , CSCI scholarship, etc.)
Article 2 Award and Applicants of ScholarshipAward:
One full scholarship for PhD student, including tuition fee + accommodation fee+ medical insurance premium fee + living expense fee 12000 RMB/year;
Two full scholarships for masterstudents, including tuition fee + accommodation fee + medical insurance premium fee + living expense fee 9000 RMB/year.

Article 3 Criteria & Eligibility

2.Applicants should be healthy physically and mentally, can well adapt to the life and study in UESTC;
3.Applicants should abide by Chinese laws and regulations, and UESTC regulations;
4.Applicants should be with positive learning attitude and good performance;
5.The applicant is obliged to submit application materials required by CWAS of UESTC.
Article 5 Application Deadline and Allocating of Scholarship
Applications are accepted from January 1 to March 31.
Scholarship allocating will start from September. Scholarship students shall receive their monthly allowance after registration. New students who register before 15th (15th included) of the registration month will get the full amount of allowance of that month, and those who register after 15th will get half amount of that month. Students upon graduation will get allowance for another 15 days after the graduation date set by the university which is usually falling upon June 30th. The allowance will be terminated from the following month after the students suspend their studies, drop school or complete schooling from the university. Monthly allowance covers school holidays. Scholarship students who missed the monthly allowance during holidays could be reimbursed upon their return to campus. The allowance will be suspended for at least one month for those students who do not register on time without permission from the university, leave for non-health reasons or are absent from university over a month.For scholarship students who is violating Chinese laws and regulations, or violating UESTC regulations, UESTC is entitled to adjust, withhold, or even cancel the Scholarship, depending on the severity of the problem.
