Introduction to CQJTU

Founded in 1951, Chongqing Jiaotong University (hereinafter called CQJTU) is a university of recognized excellence by the Ministry of Education of China. With years of devoted work in education, CQJTU have made outstanding contributions in the field of traffic high-level personnel training and scientific and technological innovation for national and local economic and social development. It is widely recognized for its unique and remarkable academic strength in Civil engineering, Traffic and Transportation engineering and Water conservancy engineering.

Why CQJTU?

◆Located in Chongqing, which is the largest municipality directly under the central government of China and the Center city in western China, and 2 hour to Chengdu by high-speed train. Here you can visit the unique charm of mountain city and beautiful natural scenery, also to know the ancient and mysterious Bashu culture.

◆By far, CQJTU has set up 59 undergraduate programs, 13 doctoral programs and 55 master degree programs. Under the guidance and assistance of over 2000 faculty and administrative staff, the University now has about 27,000 undergraduates in multiple discipline. To improve their Chinese proficiency, our University also set up "Chinese training center", "foreign student activity center", and "Chinese corner".

◆From 2004, CQJTU began to enroll international students. Until now we have around 200 international students who come from more than 10 countries including US, Japan, Benin and Kazakhstan, etc. In addition, CQJTU has set up the Chinese Proficiency Test (HSK) Net-test sites.
