Training Objectives: Training senior specialists engaged in financial business, operation and management in banks, financial institutes and other foreign-related departments, or engaged in education and research in universities and scientific research units.

Core Courses: Political Economics, Microeconomics, Macroeconomics, Public Finance, Economics of Money and Banking, International Trade, International Finance, Security Investment, Insurance, Management of Commercial Banks, Central Banking, Theories and Practices of Investment Banks, and so on.

Employment and Further Studies: Graduates work in banks, financial institutes, foreign-related departments, industrial and commercial enterprises, economic and administrative authorities, universities and scientific research units, etc. Initial employment rate is over 90%. Moreover, students have opportunities to pursue master degrees for International Trade, Finance, Regional Economics or other majors in Ningbo University.

Accounting Program (CGA Concentration), co-established by NBU and CGA in 2008 and supported by Ningbo municipal government, adopts a dual-certificate module of elite training and transplant CGA training courses into a Chinese accounting program. It is listed in the first group of municipal service-oriented key educational programs.

Certified General Accountants (CGA) Association of Canada, founded in 1908, is a professional accounting association acknowledged worldwide. CGA Ningbo Training (Examination) Center is the only authorized training body in mainland China. CGA certificate holders are to work for world-renowned accounting agencies, multinational corporations as well as financial institutes.

The program aims at fostering globalized elite accounting professionals with solid accounting knowledge and skills, who are familiar with international accounting principles, and are qualified to work as accounting, auditing and financing posts at major accounting agencies, trans-national enterprises, listed companies, financial bodies, as well as institutions and government departments.

The program is designed to foster globalized elite accounting professionals with solid financial accounting knowledge and skills, who are familiar with international accounting and financial principles, skilled at English use, and qualified to work as accounting, auditing and financing posts at varies types of businesses especially accounting agencies, trans-national enterprises, listed companies, financial bodies, as well as institutions and government departments.

The program focuses on developing the basic theories, knowledge and skills in international economics and trade, learning the present situation of development of economy and trade in modern China and world, and being familiar with the international trade law and regulations which makes graduates be capable of solving practical international trade issues. The internationalized as well as combined with Chinese reality curriculum is adopted in this program and case study is often used in teaching. The basic knowledge of economics, managements and international trade is taught in this program, which makes the graduates strong in theoretical analysis and practice.

The 4-year bachelor degree program is conducted by lecturers who get the PhD degree from overseas universities or have overseas working experiences. The core curriculum of the Mechanical Engineering degree program from University of Manitoba, Canada is adopted for the program.

This program is strong both in training students in practical problem-solving skills, as well as in giving an international perspective of Mechanical Engineering knowledge and capability. It also offers international students opportunity in learning some basic skill in Mandarin.

Brief Introduction

NBU-UM BBA Program (Bachelor Degree), jointly launched in 2006 by Ningbo University in China and University of Manitoba (UM) in Canada, is the first authorized joint educational program in Ningbo. It adopts the advanced teaching philosophy and teaching administrative system through the introduction of curriculum, course outline and teaching methodology from UM. Both institutes admit credit transfer within the program. The courses are offered in English.

University of Manitoba is western Canada's first university. Founded more than 130 years ago, and located in the heart of the country, it is the region’s largest and only research intensive university offering over 90 degrees, diplomas, and certificate. It has disciplinary strength in business administration, and its MBA program is one of the strongest in Canada.

MBBS program aims to provide the graduates with the consolidate foundation of medicine, strong clinical skills and prepare for the further study and scientific research in this field, and working in the public health department, which consists of General Medicine, Internal Medicine, External Medicine, Gynecology, Pediatrics etc. The graduates can independently work as a doctor in hospital after professional training.
