Application Information/how to apply

Ⅰ.Application prerequisites

Non-Chinese citizens, age 1or abovehealthy, with an educational level of or above high schoo lgraduation may apply for language and undergraduate programs. Students who apply for master’s degree programs should have an educational level of or above bachelor’s degree, and be under the age of 40. Students who apply for doctoral degree programs should have an educational background of or above master’s degree, and be under the age of 45.  

IIProcedures of Application and Enrollment1. Applicantsshould submit the following materials to the School of International Exchange: 

 

(a)Application form with photo

(b) Resume

(c) Copy of Certificate of highest degree or certificate of university education; (needs to be translated to Chinese or English)

(d) Copy of passport (the page with photo)

(e) Physical examination record forforeigners 

(f) Certificate of No Criminal Conviction

(g) Proof of personal bank funds ($5,000 or more, if the parent is the guarantor, proof of the parent's relationship with the student is required)

(h400 RMB application fee for language programs; 600 RMB application fee for undergraduate programs; 800 RMB application fee for master and doctoral degree programs. (Application fee 800RMB should be paid after arrival.).

Beside the materials above, international students who apply for undergraduate programs should also provide academic record of high schooleducation, a photocopy of HSK-4certificate and two letters of recommendation. Students who apply for master’s or doctoral degrees should provide academic record of undergraduate and master studies respectively, a photocopy of HSK-4certificate, personal statement and letter of recommendation from two associated professors or above.  

2. Deadline of application submission:

1Language programs Application Materials submitted for spring semester due on December 30th. Application Materials submitted for autumn semester due on June 30th.  3. 

The application documents will be reviewed and evaluated. The admission letter and JW202 Visa Application Form will sent out to applicants who are qualified.

4. Successful applicants will receive Admission Letter and JW202 Visa Application Form for the convenience of your visa application. Students can apply for a student visa at the Chinese Embassy or Consulate in their country with these documents.

5. Successful applicants must register on the designated day stipulated in the Admission LetterApplicants who can not register at the university on timemust inform the College of International Exchange in advance. A failure to register on time will result in cancelation of candidature to studyat the university.

NoteEach applicant is required to provide four 2-inch photos (passport size) and six 1-inch photos when registering at the university.
