China-US Chinese Government Scholarship for MA International Relations 1.About CGS: China-US Chinese Government Scholarship was launched by the Ministry of Education of China, aiming to attract and encourage outstanding international students from United States to study in China.
Upon acceptance, students will enroll in 2-year Master Program of International Relations taught in English in China Foreign Affairs University (CFAU) from September 2019 to July 2021.
The scholarship will cover tuition, accommodation and insurance. Students will receive monthly stipend (RMB 3,000) for the duration of their study. Please note that the sponsorship is only valid for 2 years. In the case the student failed to complete his/her study within the required 2 years, the scholarship will not be extended beyond that period.
If a student’s spouse, children, relatives or friends wish to visit him/her during his/her stay in Beijing, the visitors will have to bear all the expenses by him/herself. The university is not responsible for taking care of them.
3. Please note that: (1)If the awarded student has to suspend his/her study during the first year, the scholarship will be retracted for the following academic year. (2) The age of applicants should be between 20 and 40. (3) Applicants should be in good health with health certificate issued by the local public hospitals; without diseases with which entry to China is denied by China’s laws and regulations; without severe chronic diseases such as serious hypertension, cardiovascular/cerebrovascular diseases and diabetes; without mental diseases or epidemic diseases that are likely to impose serious threat to public health; not in the process of recovering after a major operation or acute diseases; not seriously disabled or pregnant. (4) Applicants must hold Ordinary Passport with student visa to China after admitted. (5) Applicants should abide by the laws and regulations of the People’s Republic of China during their stay in China, and obey the university’s regulations and rules during their study in CFAU. |
Forbidden City Scholarship for Master
Program of International Relations
Forbidden City Scholarship (FCS) was launched by Beijing Municipal Commission of Education, aiming to attract and encourage outstanding international students from Belt and Road countries to study in Beijing.
Upon acceptance, students will enroll in Master Program of International Relations taught in English in China Foreign Affairs University (CFAU) from September 2019 to July 2021
The scholarship will cover tuition, accommodation and insurance. Students will receive monthly stipend (RMB 3,000) for the duration of their study. Please note that the sponsorship is valid for the period of 2 years. In the case the student failed to complete his/her study within the required 2 years, the scholarship will not be extended beyond that period.

3. Please note that:
(1)The FCS is only available to self-funded students. Those who have other scholarship funds such as China Government Scholarship cannot apply.
(2)If the awarded student has to suspend his/her study during the first year, the scholarship will be retracted for the following academic year.
(3)Applicants must have a bachelor’s degree or equivalent in areas related to politics or international relations. Previous work experience in International Relations is preferred.
(4) For applicants whose native language is not English, evidence of fluency in English must be demonstrated by a minimum of 80 in TOEFL Test or 6.0 in IELTS Test.
(5) The age of applicants should be between 20 and 40.
(6) Applicants should be in good health with health certificate issued by the local public hospitals; without diseases with which entry to China is denied by China’s laws and regulations; without severe chronic diseases such as serious hypertension, cardiovascular/cerebrovascular diseases and diabetes; without mental diseases or epidemic diseases that are likely to impose serious threat to public health; not in the process of recovering after a major operation or acute diseases; not seriously disabled or pregnant.

CFAU accepts international students supported by Chinese Government Scholarship (CGS). Students wish to apply for CGS scholarships should prepare relevant documents and follow the instructions given by Chinese Scholarship Council (CSC) on the preparation and submission of scholarship application. For more information, see http://www.csc.edu.cn. AS CFAU only accepts students who have been granted scholarship by CSC, Instead of submitting CGS scholarship application to CFAU directly, it is very important that students should submit their scholarship application to Chinese embassy in their country first, as instructed by CSC. |
