ⅠApplication
The applicants should send their applications in time to the School of International Education and Exchanges Northeast Forestry University before 31st March.
ⅡEligibility
1. Applicants must be non-Chinese nationals in good health.
2. Education background required and age limit:
Applicants for master degree studies must have bachelor’s degree and be under the age of 35;
Applicants for doctoral degree studies must have master’s degree and be under the age of 40.
3. Excellent results in study.
4. Applicants should have good ability in scientific research.
Note: The scholarship cannot be combined with any other scholarship.
ⅢDetails of the Scholarship
1. Exempt from registration fee, tuition fee, fee for laboratory experiment, internship fee, fee for basic learning materials and on-campus accommodation fee;
2. CNY 800 per year for Comprehensive Medical Insurance;
3. Monthly living allowance is granted to the students at the following rates (CNY Yuan per month):
Master’s degree candidate: CNY 3000 Yuan
Doctoral degree candidate: CNY 3500 Yuan
Complement:
1. The students are required to cover the expenses for experiments or internship, which exceeds the teaching arrangements of NEFU.
2. The living allowances will be allotted monthly to the students from the time of registration at the NEFU. The new students who register before 15th (15th included) of the registration month will enjoy the whole amount of living allowance of that month; those who register after the 15th will get that of a half month. Graduates will get the living allowances till 15 days after the graduation date set by NEFU. The scholarship will be terminated from next month for the students who suspend their studies, quit or graduate from NEFU. The students are entitled to living allowance during the vacation period arranged by the university. The living allowance, which students didn’t get in time as the departure for vacation, can be refunded when they are back to school. The living allowances will be stopped for one month for the students who do not register on time without permission from the ISC beforehand, leave with non-health reasons or are absent from the university over a month.
3. Scholarship students who have to suspend their education for illness should return to their home country for further treatment and rest. The international travel expenses of returning and coming back should be paid for their own. The students, who are allowed by the school authority to suspend their education, can remain their scholarship. The scholarship status will be reserved one year at the most; however, the monthly living allowance will be stopped during the suspension of education. The scholarship status of the students who suspend their education for reasons other than illness will be terminated.
4. Comprehensive Insurance for International students in China refers to the Comprehensive Medical Insurance insured by Chinese Educational Ministry for the scholarship students in China. The institution is entitled to ask for compensation on the payment receipts from the insurance company for the expenses generated from hospitalizing for serious diseases or from accidental injury according to the stipulated insurance articles. The insurance company does not accept individual claims.

II When and How to Apply
Application deadline: April 15.
Applicants can submit the application materials to the Admission Office of the School of International Education and Exchanges of Northeast Forestry University, by post or in person.
III Qualification for Application
(1) Applicants must be Russian citizens and in good health.
(2) Applicants must NOT be registered students in Chinese universities at the time of application or graduates from Chinese universities whose graduation is more than one year ago.
(3) Education background and age limit:
-- Applicants for master's degree studies must have bachelor's degree and be under the age of 35;
-- Applicants for doctoral degree studies must have master's degree and be under the age of 40;
(4) Do not accept applications to major in other Language and Literature, except for Chinese Language and Literature. No limit in other majors.
(5) Applicants should have a good academic record.
(6) Applicants should not be beneficiaries of any other scholarships.
(7) Language proficiency requirements:
--Applicants for Chinese-medium programs should have an HSK test score of level 4 or above. Applicants for Chinese-medium programs are required to take one year Chinese language course prior to the academic study if their Chinese is not qualified. Only by passing the required HSK test after the Chinese language course could they start their major studies. Applicants have the full scholarship during one-year Chinese language course. The living allowance varies from students' corresponding study level.
--There are no Chinese language proficiency requirements for the applicants of English-medium programs.
-- Master and doctor’s degree programs can be delivered in Chinese or English.
IV Application Procedures
(1) Online Application for Chinese Government Scholarship
Applicants should log in the website at http://www.campuschina.org or http://www.csc.edu.cn/studyinchina, print and sign it with photo in duplicate. (Northeast Forestry University Agency No:10225)
(2) Online Application for Northeast Forestry University
Please log in the Online Application System of Northeast Forestry University http://siee.nefu.edu.cn/ to complete the application and submit the required documents.
(3) Required Documents for Application
A. Application Form for Chinese Government Scholarship
B. A photocopy of passport
C. Notarized highest degree certificate and academic transcripts. Documents in languages other than Chinese or English must be attached with notarized translations in Chinese or English. Applicants who are still studying in schools should submit the Certificate of Schooling.
Note: Applicants who apply for the program with Certificate of Schooling should provide the highest degree certificate before the registration date, or the admission will be disqualified.
D. Photocopies of language proficiency certificates or the original language certificate of the teaching language during the highest education.
E. Personal statement, in Chinese or English, should include study and work experience, reasons for application and study proposal.
F. Two letters of recommendation from full professors or associate professors, in Chinese or English.
G. Published academic papers or other academic achievements. (if applicable)
H. Photocopy of Foreigner Physical Examination Form, filled in English. The original copy should be kept by the applicant. The medical examinations must cover all the items listed in the Foreigner Physical Examination Form. Incomplete records or those without the signature of the attending physician, the official stamp of the hospital or a sealed photograph of the applicants are invalid.
Note: The incomplete application materials will not be processed. Application materials will NOT be returned regardless of the result of the application.
V Admission and Notification
(1) Northeast Forestry University will review all the application materials. Decisions for admission and for granting the scholarships will be made on the basis of the applicants' competitiveness, academic record and otherwise.
(2) The name list of the scholarship awardees for postgraduate programs will be sent to China Scholarship Council for review in late April.
(3) After the name list is reviewed and approved by China Scholarship Council, the scholarship awardees will be notified by the university and Admission Notice with other relevant documents will be sent in July.
VI Notes
(1) Scholarship students should register on the date stipulated by the university. Students who have not received permission and arrival late for this registration will have their scholarship status automatically cancelled. Students who have kept the admission and will not register in the fall semester will have their scholarship status cancelled.
(2) Scholarship students' affairs are managed according to the relevant regulations of Chinese Government Scholarship. Scholarship students must go through the Annual Review of the Chinese Government Scholarship Status. If students fail in Annual Review, their scholarship will be terminated.
(3) Scholarship students are not allowed to change their institutions as well as their academic programs or the duration of study specified in the Admission Notice.
(4) Northeast Forestry University is responsible for the interpretation of the scholarship granting procedures and regulations.
