Application for The Beijing Government “Belt and Road” Scholarship for International Students in 2019

In order to attract the excellent international students of the countries along “the Belt and Road” to come and study in Beijing Forestry University, the Beijing Government “Belt and Road” Scholarship (hereinafter referred to as "Scholarship") Program in Beijing Forestry University is established by Beijing Government to offer the fund especially for the students from English-Taught Master Program in Forestry Genetics and Breeding. The International Relations Office of Beijing Forestry University is responsible for the acceptance and management of the Scholarship Program. The Review Panel of Beijing Forestry University for the Beijing Government “Belt and Road” Scholarship is in charge of evaluation and enrollment.

The details of the Scholarship is as follow:

I. Content and Standards of the Scholarship

• Tuition Waiver for 3-year duration: RMB 33,000/year.
• Beijing Forestry University offers the Scholarship students：

• Universitry offers free accommodation : Double room：RMB 60/day/bed.（The cost of water and electricity has to be covered by students themselves)

• University will not charge the application fee(RMB 800)

Note：Medical insurance and other expenses will be paid by students themselves.

II. Application Qualification

1. The Applicants should be from the countries along “the Belt and Road”.

2. The Applicants should be international students enrolled by Beijing Forestry University English-taught Master Program in Forestry Genetics and Breeding.

2019 BFU Chinese Government Scholarship Program

Beijing Forestry University is a designated institution entitled to admit students under Chinese Government Scholarship by Ministry of Education of China. Applications for Chinese Government Scholarships are accepted from now on and applicants for Master Degree Program and Doctoral Degree Program can apply for Chinese Government Scholarship directly to Beijing Forestry University. It is a full scholarship for designated Chinese universities and certain provincial education offices in specific provinces or autonomous regions to recruit outstanding international students for graduate studies in China. It only supports graduate students.

I. Supporting Categories, Duration and Programs

1. Supporting Category. This scholarship only supports graduate students.

2. Duration. This scholarship only supports master’s students for no more than 3 academic years or doctoral students for no more than 4 academic years. The scholarship covers both major study and Chinese language/preparatory study, as specified in the Admission Letter.

The Chinese University Program provides a full scholarship which covers：

(I) Tuition

(II) Accommodation: Double Room RMB 60/day /bed，Single Room RMB 120/day/bed (water and electricity should be paid by themselves)

(III) Monthly Stipend: RMB 3000 for Master, RMB 3500 for PhD.

(IV) Comprehensive medical insurance. 800yuan/year
