Scholarship Program for International Students Granted by Chinese Government

The Scholarship Program for International Students Granted by Chinese Government is one of full or partial scholarship for students studying in China set up by our government for the promotion of mutual understanding and friendship between Chinese people and others from the outside world and for the exchange and cooperation between China and other countries in various fields. The Chinese Ministry of Education is responsible for making scholarship programs to foreign countries and entrusts the National Scholarship Council (hereinafter referred to as the CSC) to take charge of the enrollment and the daily affairs of Scholarship Program for International Students Granted by Chinese Government (hereinafter referred to as scholarship students). So far, there are 78 international students won the scholarship, 67 of whom are graduate students and 11 are doctoral students.

Scholarship Program for International Students Granted by Chinese Government mainly includes:

1. Independent Recruitment Programs in Chinese Universities
      The program to recruit outstanding young foreign students studying for master degree includes Independent Recruitment Programs in Universities, Scholarship Set up by the Border Provinces and Autonomous Regions and Scholarship for Supporting Local Development. It is full scholarship for graduate students and doctoral candidates.

2. "Silk Road" Scholarship Program Granted by Chinese Government

   The "Silk Road" Scholarship Program Granted by Chinese Government is limited to recruiting students from the countries along the "Belt and Road". The funding category is fully funded. It is full scholarship for students pursuing bachelor's degree, master’s degree and doctorate degree.

3. Doctor Oriented "Silk Road”Scholarship Program Granted by Chinese Government

                                                               ---English Teaching for Mechanical Engineering Majors

   Doctor Oriented "Silk Road" Scholarship Program Granted by Chinese Government is limited to recruiting students from the countries along the "Belt and Road". It only receives English taught doctoral students of mechanical engineering.

Scholarships Issued by Guangxi Government

for International Students from ASEAN Countries

With the continuous success of the China-ASEAN Expo and the further promotion of the China-ASEAN Free Trade Area, Guangxi will actively establish close exchange and cooperation mechanisms with the education authorities of the ASEAN countries and strive to become a highland of educational exchange and cooperation oriented to the ASEAN. In order to conscientiously implement the relevant spirit of the central government, the government and party committee of autonomous region on promoting the implementation of the all-round opening-up and cooperation between Guangxi and ASEAN, and strengthen educational exchanges and cooperation between our region and the ASEAN countries, Guangxi has set up scholarship for the students from Laos and Cambodian. In 2011, we established Scholarships for International Students from ASEAN. So far, 46 students have been enrolled in the scholarships of Guangxi government for ASEAN countries. Among them, there are 37 undergraduates and 9 graduate students. Our school attaches great importance to the training and management of scholarship for ASEAN students. Each year, we strictly carry out the review of scholarship among the students according to the requirements of the higher level units and encourage students winning a scholarship to actively participate in cultural and sports activities and comprehensively promote the development of moral, intellectual, physical, aesthetics and labour education.
