2.Application Prerequisites

Applicants must be non-Chinese citizens in good health, with valid passport, above the age of 18 and below 60, and should abide by Chinese law and the regulations of Sichuan University. They should also respect Chinese social customs and codes of conduct.

For English Instruction Programs: Applicants whose native language is not English must have an IELTS score greater than or equal to 6.5 or have a TOEFL score greater than or equal to 90.

3.  Insurance

According to the requirement of Chinese government, all the degree-seeking students must enroll in the group comprehensive medical insurance; the premium is 400 Yuan for six months, 800 Yuan for twelve months. Degree-seeking students who can provide evidence of medical insurance from home can apply for a waiver.

To create a favorable environment for lives of international students, there are dormitories for international students on three campuses of SCU with staff on duty 24 hours seven days a week. The office of international students assigns special staff to manage the dormitories and help the students deal with any issues.
