Chinese Government Scholarship Application Procedure

Step One：Application

Step Two:Provide the following application materials to us

A.Award Letter for Chinese Government Scholarship Candidate

B.The Chinese Government Scholarship Application Form

C.A copy of your passport

D.The custody release form (Please fill in the attachment and send it back)

E.Affirmation Statement (Please fill in the attachment and send it back)

F.Application materials required. 

Step Three:BFSU check application materials. Send pre-admission letter to those who are pre-accepted.

Step Four:Applicants finish other application procedures required by CSC.

Step Five:CSC sends applicant’s application information to BFSU. BFSU issues Admission Notice to CSC who will give it to Chinese Embassy in the applicant’s country. Chinese Embassy send admission materials to the applicants.

Application Procedures for Beijing Government Scholarship for International Student for 2019

Application materials (in Chinese or English)

1. Application Form for Beijing Government Scholarship;

2. Applicants applying for degree programs or research programs shall provide a study plan (no less than 400 words) or a research proposal (no less than 800 words);

3. Academic certificates and transcripts of records;

4. Two recommendation letters from professors of the student’s university, department, or professors who are familiar with the applicant’s situation;

5. Other supporting materials that the applicant considers as necessary.

Approval

The schools will review the applicants’ scholarship application materials and grant scholarship on a merit-based principle. Winners of the scholarship will be notified by Email.

Special Instructions:

1. In the case that the applicant is to be admitted by the university, it is necessary for the applicant to meet the basic admission requirements as prescribed by the “2019 Administration Guidelines for International Students of Beijing Foreign Studies University”;

2. The applicant has to complete the online registration within the specified time to obtain the qualification for admission first. 

3. The fourth and fifth items in the above application materials are not mandatory, but will help increase the odds of successful application;

4. The submitted application materials will not be returned, being approved or not. Unsuccessful applicants will not be notified.

5. The applicant shall attest to the accuracy of the materials provided. The applicant shall bear the adverse consequences for any information found to be incorrect or untrue.
