01 Key Facts

l Master programs: 3 years, Academic Degree

l Doctoral programs: 3 -4 years, Academic Degree

02 Eligibility

l Non-Chinese citizens with a valid passport, in good health.

l Applicants of master degree should be under 30 years old /for doctoral program

should be under 35 years old.

l Attained a bachelor degree for master degree / attained a master degree for

doctoral program.

l HSK scores should reach Level 4 (score 210 or above) or Level 5 (score 180 or

above).

l An above average final grade at least 2.5 in Chinese grading system

If you have successfully completed a bachelor’s degree or master’s degree taught

in Chinese inChina, you may apply for exemption for HSK requirements.

03 Application Period

Phase One: From Dec. 1, 2019 to Feb. 29, 2020 ( Applicants may simultaneously

submit scholarship application )

Phase Two: From March. 1^st, 2019 to March 31^st, 2020 ( only for self-funded

application )

05 How to Apply

Step 1: Online application

Please visit http://admission.sus.edu.cn to register and fill in the application form, upload the

required digital application documents listed and complete the online application.

Step 2: Pay application fee

500 RMB (non-refundable) via online application or by transferring to the university

account:

Step 3: Submit the required paper documents:

The applicants must fill in and provide the following documents truly, correctly and completely

(in duplicates)

u SUS Application Form for International Students (please apply online:

http://admission.sus.edu.cn) with the applicant’s signature.

u Scholarship application form (for scholarship applicants only)

u One photocopy of your valid passport.

u A copy of Foreigner Physical Examination Form.

u One photocopy of your diploma and degree certificate (a notarized Chinese or

English translation is demanded if the original version is in other languages). For

those who are about to graduate, a certification of expected graduation is also

acceptable).

u One photocopy of your transcript of academic records during your Bachelor or

Master study (a notarized Chinese or English translation is demanded if the

original version is in other languages).

u Two photocopies of HSK certificate

u Study plan or research proposal (check Download on our website), written in

Chinese or English, which includes your education and work experiences,

research results and a study plan.

u Two different recommendation letters (check Download on our website) in

Chinese or English from two professors or associate professors.

u Application fee payment document.

NOTE: All the documents should be bound together on top left corner. You should submit

TWO sets of bound documents to our university by posting or handing in after finishing

online application. A valid e-mail address is required for good contact. The application

materials will not be returned in any case.
