·           Four disciplines  ranked   top 1% in the world according to the Essential Science Indicators (ESI) Database , namely Chemistry, Materials Science, Engineering, Biology and Biochemistry, Pharmacology and Toxicology.

·           The Chemical Engineering and Technology Program has successfully passed the review of the ABET (Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology) in 2014 and becomes the first university in China that has passed this accreditation.

·           School  of Business has attained AMBA (Association of MBAs) accreditation with a 5-year term of validity in 2012. In 2015, it has been awarded the certificate of Chinese Advanced Management Education Accreditation (CAMEA).

As an eligible university authorized by the Ministry of Education to enroll international students, ECUST has over 60 years’ experience in teaching and serving for over tens of thousands of international students from more than 140 countries.

Its College  of International Education, located on the main campus in Xuhui district, is an interface between international students and the university. It is responsible for recruiting, enrollment, administration and service of all international students coming to ECUST.

International students can apply for a bachelor, master or doctoral degree program or advanced study offered by ECUST, as well as long-term or short-term Chinese language and culture program and various customized programs.
