1.Short Term Programs

Chinese Teacher Training Program 

Program Introduction

  Chinese Teachers Training program will act a very significant role to improve the comprehensive quality of Chinese teachers, enhance the development of global Chinese teaching into a more standard, regulated and professional direction, and meet the requirement of doing a better job on the global Chinese teaching and Chinese culture spread. The Chinese teachers training program aims to give Chinese teachers guidance on the teaching skills and methods; let them have an immersed experience about Chinese history and culture; provide an opportunity to let the Chinese teachers from all over the world exchange ideas; give a firm push on the development of overseas Chinese Teaching. This program is available for application all year long. The program duration can be from one week to one month long. Besides the training course on the Chinese teaching, it will also offer lectures about Chinese classical poetry, Chinese folk arts, Chinese songs and dances, and excursions around Xi’an to deeply experience the cultural and historical heritage.

Short Program

Program Introduction

  Short program are all-year-round available for application. The time period can be from one week to three months, which can be categorized as Language Learning Program, Culture Immersion Program, Topic-based Lectures Program, HSK Training Program and Summer&Winter Camp. Program can be set up if there are more than 10 applicants. Besides the Chinese teaching courses, the short programs would also provide cultural courses like Taichi, calligraphy, Chinese song, folk dance, etc and also the excursions around Xi’an according to students’ individual needs.

Application Requirements

   Only applications as a group like an institute or school can be accepted; individual application will not be accepted.
   Applicants who aged from 10 to 60 and hold the passport of non-Chinese nationality are qualified for application

   Chinese Proficiency: No specific requirement, but applicants at the same level should be more than 5 people

2.Non-degree  Programs

Language Program

Program Introduction 

  There are two time periods for language program application, respectively spring semester and autumn semester.The study time duration is both 18 weeks every semester. Students will be placed into 6 classes of three levels: beginner level, medium level and advanced level. Students who want to pursue degree program can apply to transfer from language program to the bachelor degree program of Chinese Language and Literature after taking relevant exams. 

Application requirements

  Applicants should be physically and mentally healthy and aged from 18—50

  Applicants should be non-Chinese nationality and have diploma at least higher than high school graduation certificate

  According to the regulations issued by the Ministry of Education PRC, immigrated applicants who are originally citizens of China mainland, Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan should get the foreign nationality before April 30, 2010 and have an actual residence record longer than 2 years after April 30, 2010.(The record will be examined by the entry and exit stamp on passport. Equal or more than 9 months actual residence record can be counted as one year).

  Applicants should be capable of affording all the study and living cost in China

Scholar Program 
Program Introduction  

  There are two time periods for scholar program application, respectively spring semester and autumn semester. The study time duration is both 18 weeks every semester. Students can take exams and get credit according to individual needs. (Credits will only be acknowledged by students original university or institute if we have established relevant exchange agreement)
Application time:

  Spring Semester: November 15 - January 15

  Autumn Semester: May 15- July 15

Enrollment Time

  Normally it’s March 1st for spring semester and September 1st of autumn semester. Please refer to the Admission Notice for exact time of registration.

3. Non-degree Programs
Bachelor

Chinese Language Undergraduate Program Undergraduate Program 
Program Introduction 

•   This program is a 4-year  program specially designed for international students only. Students are  required to complete the curriculum and fulfill the designated number of  credits. Successful graduates will receive a graduation certificate along with  the bachelor’s degree, according to the regulation of the Degree  Committee.

Undergraduate Program 

Program Introduction 

  Students are required to complete the curriculum between 4 to 6 years and fulfill the designated number of credits. Successful graduates will receive a graduation certificate along with the bachelor’s degree, according to the regulation of the Degree Committee.

Enrollment Majors

Master  Program 

Program Introduction 

•   Students are required to complete the curriculum between 2-3 years, fulfill the designated credits, complete the master’s thesis and defend it in front of a panel of experts. Successful graduates will receive a graduation certificate along with the Master’s degree, according to the regulation of the Degree Committee.
