Admission categories and requirements

Applicants must have a senior high school qualification and should be non-Chinese permanent residents or Chinese citizens of Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan regions, in good health, who are over 18 and under 60 years-old.

1. Non-degree Language Programs: learning Chinese and language and culture of ethnic groups

1.1 Long-term non-degree students: study more than 4 months.

1.2 Short-term non-degree students: study less than 12 weeks.

1.3 Short-term study group: more than 10 people and study less than one month.

2. Degree students

2.1 Undergraduate: study for 3 to 6 years (HSK 4 or above, if there is no HSK score, students should learn Chinese for one semester or one year, beginning undergraduate study after reaching the language requirement for undergraduates, and it is a pre-requisite to pass HSK 4 half a year before graduation; applicants for the Tibetan major should pass the Tibetan entrance examination organized by the university and begin undergraduate study after meeting admission requirements.)

2.2 Postgraduates: the time of study and research should be 2 to 5 years. (Having got

2.3 Advanced visiting scholars: conduct the research about national culture, history and economics, etc (more than 18 weeks).

Ⅳ. Admission time (Application time)

1. Non-degree students and advanced visiting scholars: the entrance time is March or September every year (Applications can be submitted any time); For short-term study group, it is better to study here from May to August.

2. Degree students: the entrance time is September every year. Submit a written application before June 10 so as to finish registration procedures.

Health requirements.

International students must be in good health, all of them are required to have a medical examination before coming toChinaand no reports of serious illness, infectious disease and severe physical handicaps. After arrival inChina, if it is ascertained that a student does not meet with the health standards, the student must drop out and return to his country, immediately, and all the costs should be borne by the students.

The copies of application materials offered by the student need to be checked byQinghaiNationalitiesUniversityafter admission. Please bring the original copy of graduation certificate, degree certificate, passport and HSK certificate on enrolling day.

Ⅵ. Curriculum arrangements

1. Non-degree students:

1.1 Chinese class: Elementary Chinese, Intermediate Chinese, Advanced Chinese (listening, speaking, reading, writing).

1. 2 Tibetan class (listening, speaking, reading, writing).

1.3 Mongolian class (listening, speaking, reading, writing); Tu language class (listening, speaking); Salar language class (listening, speaking).

1.4 Investigation and study on history, culture, economics, education, local customs and practices ofQinghainative ethnic groups.

1.5 HSK tutorship.

1.6 Short-term study group: they have class in the morning, communicate with different nationality students in the afternoon and make study tours on weekend.
