2. Application and length of schooling:
Application deadline: June 30, program will be started in September.
(Students who want to start from the second semester of the first academic year should apply before December 30, 2018. program will be started in March.)
Length of schooling: 4 years.
3. Eligibility:
Applications are open to foreign citizens with reliable financial support and stability who are senior-high-school graduates with an age between 18 and 50 and in good health. Residents from mainland China, Hongkong, Macao and Taiwan who have immigrated, must hold a valid foreign passport or certificate of nationality for 4 years (including) or above, and provide the record or the certificate indicating that the passport holder actually lives overseas for more than 2 years. If passport holder actually lives abroad for 9 months in a year, it will be calculated as one year. 30th of April of admission year will be the deadline for calculating the length of time.
4. Admission Requirements and Entrance
1) Majors at Hongkou Campus (NO ENTRANCE EXAMINATION)
A. Chinese Language, Teaching Chinese to Speakers of Other Languages (TCSOL): ① Applicants must have Chinese proficiency of New HSK level 4 (a total of no less than 180). ②Students who study undergraduate program related to Chinese language for one semester in any Chinese university with New HSK level 4 (a total of no less than 195) can apply to study from the second semester of the first academic year. ○3Students who study undergraduate program related to Chinese language program for one academic year in any Chinese university with New HSK level 5 (a total of no less than 180) can apply to study from the second academic year. . ④Students who study undergraduate program related to Chinese language for two academic years in any Chinese university with Chinese proficiency of New HSK level 5 (a total of no less than 210) can apply to study from the third academic year..
B. International Economics and Trade (Chinese): ①Applicants must have Chinese proficiency of New HSK level 4 (a total of no less than 180). ②Students who study undergraduate program related to economics and trade for one semester in any Chinese university with New HSK level 5 (a total of no less than 180) can apply to study from the second semester of the first academic year. ○3Students who study undergraduate program related to economics and trade for one academic year in any Chinese university with New HSK level 6 (a total of no less than 180)can apply to study from the second academic year. .
★Applicants who want to start from the second semester of the first academic year, the second or the third academic year, need to pass the entrance examination organized by the School of Chinese Studies and Exchange. Entrance examination will be held on January 15,2019 or February 19, 2019 for the second semester admission, and July 2,2018 or August 20,2018 for the second or third-year admission. Please be in Hongkou Campus, building 2, room 419 at 13:00pm with passport and original copy of HSK certificate for taking the entrance exam. Those who passed the entrance exam and with good grades from the previous university may be enrolled in corresponding grade.

2) Diploma and academic record in original or notarized copy in English or Chinese. Applicants, who are about to graduate, can submit a certification of upcoming graduation.
3) Photocopy of HSK certificate
4) Certificate of full-time Chinese training and related majors study, academic records in original or notarized copy in English or Chinese (For students who want to start from the second semester of the first academic year, the second or the third academic year).
5) Photocopy of passport.
6) 2 passport photos (5cm * 4cm).
7) Application fee: 450 RMB (or overseas transfer of 75 USD).
6. Tuition and Fees (in RMB)
Chinese language: 21,000/year.
International Economics and Trade (Chinese), Teaching Chinese to Speakers of Other Languages (TCSOL): 22,000/year.
