Occupational direction: the graduates may be engaged in the work ofanimal production and management, breed improvement, livestock and poultry products marketing, feed or veterinary drug production and marketing, disease diagnosis and prevention, epidemic prevention and quarantine, technology promotion, services, consulting and training, etc. In the 3rd academic year, the students may be voluntarily admitted to the co-op program of the college cooperative enterprises.


                       

Professional qualifications: Livestock Farming Professional, Poultry Farming Professional, Livestock and Poultry Breeding Professional, Feed Laboratory Technician, Animal Epidemic Disease Operator and other professional qualifications.


                       

Training objective: Animal Husbandry and Veterinary is the key specialty of the college, National Key Specialty, Provincial-level Brand Specialty of Shandong Province and Experimental Specialty of the modern school system of Shandong Province. It is mainly aimed to train high-quality technical and skilled talents, who meet the front-line requirements of husbandry production, construction, service and management and are qualified for the work of the breeding, prevention and cure of diseases, production and operating management of livestock, feed production and sales, as well as epidemic prevention and quarantine and so on.

2. Animal Medicine

It ismainly aimed to train the high-quality technical and skilled talents mainly for the pet industry, who master the pet species characteristics, psychological behavior, nutritional needs, feeding and management, hairdressing training, daily health care, disease prevention and other professional knowledge and skills and are qualified for the front-line work of pet disease diagnosis &prevention, pet hospital (shop) management, pet hairdressing, pet care & nursing, pet training & teaching, and etc.

4. Animal Pharmacy

Major courses:Biochemistry, Animal Anatomy and Physiology, Animal Pathology, Animal Pharmacology, Drug Analysis and Detection Technology, Traditional Chinese Medicine Identification Techniques, Pharmaceutical Production Technology, Animal General Disease, Animal Epidemic Prevention and Quarantine, Swine Disease Prevention and Control Technology, Bovine Disease Prevention and Control Technology, Sheep Disease Prevention and Control Technology, Poultry Disease Control Technology and etc. The offered courses highlight the combination of pharmacy and animal medicine and lay emphasis on complexity and extensive scope of knowledge, to cultivate the students who “understand medicine and learn drugs”.

5. Feed and Animal Nutrition

Major courses: Animal Anatomy and Physiology, Animal Biochemistry, Animal Husbandry Microbes, Animal Nutrition, Feed Ingredients and Additives, Feed Formulation Design, Feed Production Technology, Feed Detection Technology, Bovine (Sheep) Production, Swine Production, Poultry Production, Veterinary Science, Marketing, Animal Husbandry Management, Feed Machinery and Maintenance, Feed Regulations and etc


                       

Occupational direction:  the graduates may independently establish the economic entity or work in the feed production and management enterprises, livestock and poultry farms, livestock and poultry improvement stations and so on, being engaged in the work of feed production and processing, feed formulation design, feed resource development, feed quality management, feed quality testing, feed marketing, feed after-sales service, farming technology promotion and etc. In the 3rd academic year, the students may be voluntarily admitted to the co-op program of the college cooperative enterprises.


                       

Professional qualifications: Feed Laboratory Technician, Operator of Feed Central Control Room and other professional qualifications.

6. Food Processing Technology

Major courses: Food Microbiology, Meat Processing and Detection Technology, Dairy Processing and Detection Technology, Egg Processing Technology, Food Processing Machinery and Equipment, Food Additives and etc.


                       

Occupational direction:the graduates may independently establish the economic entity or work in the food production and processing enterprises, serving as food technician, technician, inspector, R & D staff and etc. In the 3rd academic year, the students may be voluntarily admitted to the college co-op program of the cooperative enterprises.


                       

Professional qualifications:Processor of Food Processing, Dietitian, Food Inspector, Food Safety Management System Internal Auditor and other professional qualifications.
